Hi everyone. This week we will try have a little more outdoor fun with a Virtual Sports Day on Monday and some Wellbeing Wednesday activities that you can choose that you enjoy. Send any pictures you have of your Sports day to your teacher on Aladdin Connect. We love to see your activities.Enjoy!


                                                                     Virtual Sports Day Monday 15th June





1.       Burpee challenge  https://youtu.be/D1m-chORiQM
How many burpees can you do in a minute?
Chest and belly must touch the floor.
Amount should be given in reps.

2.       Skips/ jumping jacks
How many skips/ or jumping jacks can you do in 30 seconds?
Amount should be given in reps.

3.       How long can you balance on one leg for?
Result should be given in time.
Score:


4.       Keepie upies / Bounce ball against a wall and catch
How many can you do in one minute?
You must keep the ball off the ground for as long can you can and count
 how many reps you can do.
Score:


5.       Long jump
At the Start Line, stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, facing
forwards with your toes just behind the line. When you’re ready, dip slightly
 at the knees and jump as far as you can, raising your arms up above your
head to propel yourself forward as far as possible.
Result is the metres that you have jumped.
Score:


6.       Welly boot/ show  throw
Start by holding the front side of your welly boot in your strong hand,
 just below the ankle. Place the boot onto your shoulder, with the sole
 almost touching the side of your face. This should look like you’re
about to make a phone call. Stand sideways to your target with your
feet shoulder-width apart. The welly boot should be in the hand furthest
 from the starting line (Left foot on the start line, welly boot in your right
 hand). When you’re ready, quickly move your weight on to your back
 foot and throw the welly boot as far as possible by extending your arm
and moving your weight back onto your front foot.
Result is the metres that you have thrown the welly.

7.       High jump
Begin standing sideways to the Wall or Fence you will be using,
with your dominant arm a few inches from the surface. Your
feet should be around shoulder-width apart, arms by your side.
With your feet flat on the ground, place your dominant arm only
 straight up above your head and touch the wall as high as you
can. The Tester will put a small mark on the wall right at the

Result is the metres that you have jumped.

8.       Bunny Jumps
How many bunny jumps can you do in 60 seconds?
Amount should be given in reps.

9.       Figure of 8 challenge.
How many times can you pass a ball through both of your legs in 60 seconds?
Count your reps.
Score:

How many mountain climbers can you do in 1 minute.
Touching both elbows with knees equals one rep.

11.   Scavenger Hunt
See how long it takes you to gather:
Something smooth
Something rough
Something that makes a noise

Something that came from a plant
Something that has a smell
Something long
Something man-made
Something soft
Something you can eat
Something red
Use a timer to time yourself!
